Ian Shirley's interest in photography began very early, having his first real camera at the age of 14.  He enjoyed capturing and preserving the memories of family members as he saw them through his eyes.  Soon, his passion for photography drew him into modeling where he was featured in commercials and print ads for companies such as AGF Mutual Funds, Ford Motor Company, Elections Canada and Woodbine Entertainment Group.  In 2002, Ian placed second runner up in the Mr. Caribbean Canada contest and went on to compete in the Mr. Caribbean International contest in Jamaica.  As a graduate of McMaster University, Ian holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and has acquired the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation.
     As a freelance photographer he has photographed  a wide range of events from pageants to personal portraits.  He has compiled an array of photographs for this web site to display his photographic talent.
